Day 1: Luxury 5*Boutique Hotel
Welcome to Johannesburg, the powerhouse of South Africa. A city steeped in a rich cultural and political history, which attracts both business and leisure travellers. And for good reason. The Gauteng region, of which the city of Johannesburg is part, enjoys excellent weather with moderate winters and abundant, year-round sunshine.
On arrival your driver will be waiting to whisk you off to the northern suburbs of the city, to your luxe hotel, where your Qui Vado host will meet with you and take you through your adventures planned for the next nine days.
One night is spent in Johannesburg with a private afternoon tour to the Apartheid Museum and a walk down the lively Vilakazi street, the most famous street in Soweto and the only street in the world to have had two noble prize winners as its residents - Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. Nelson Mandela’s house has become a museum and the Tutu’s house is still used as a normal home by the Tutu family.
